Burr tips to drill the mastoid bone ...this is attached to a handpiece driven by a micromotor drill of 40000rpmp

 

Nasal septal splints used after septal surgery ...sutured on either side to prevent adhesions..removed after one week

 


Another type os nasal septal splint...this has a breathing channel to permit the patient to breath

 

Grommet or ventilating tube..also known as pressure equalising tube...this is inserted into the posterio-inferior quadrant to drain the secretion in secretory otitis media

 



Quincy forceps...this which is lancet shaped is plunged either in the point of maximum bulge or a line drawn along the base of the uvula and the anterior pillar to drain the pus in a case of quincy

TORP or total ossicular replacement prosthesis...this is used to reconstruct the ossicular chain when the entire ossicular chain has been destroyed..and only the foot plate of the stapes is remaining

 

Ear syringe ..to syringe the ear to clear it of debri , fungus etc..Caution: should not syringe when there is a perforation
